Humanity is a…
A strange species of inventive, playful, competitive daredevils.
The end of the first decade of the twenty first century brought us advances in electronics which enabled mass-production of affordable, remote-controlled drones. Humans be humans—it didn’t take us long to figure out that we can use them to play.
In a way, drone racing lies at the intersection of technology, augmented reality, and gaming.
It’s a perfect use case for ENJ—it’s like a video game in real life.
With that in mind, we’re happy to announce that Enjin is the official sponsor of Asia Drone Championship in Singapore this Saturday, and winners of the drone race will receive ENJ-backed ERC-1155 virtual trophies!
ENJ MRAS 2018 virtual trophies will be one of the rarest ERC-1155 tokens ever made. The Gold trophy will be backed with $500 worth of ENJ, Silver with $250 and Bronze with $100 in ENJ value.
They will be awarded to only three contestants—the most skillful that manage to win the complex, extremely competitive race.
Pilots from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and more will compete on the grounds of spacious, 270 meters long, four-tiered driving range—overlooking the Singapore city skyline.
Asia Drone Championship is organized and produced by MRAS (Multirotor Association of Singapore) and Science Center Singapore, a government agency operating under the jurisdiction of the Singapore Ministry of Education.
? Participants from around the region, including internationally known top racers
?️ Massive multi-level course across the field
? Drone simulators, FPV experience corner, and live stream of races on-site for spectators
? Drone display by local and foreign brands
What is drone racing?
We announced our partnership with NRG eSports back in February, and now we’re venturing into the new lands of a real-life, techy sport—FPV drone racing.
FPV drone racing (where FPV stands for first-person view or first-person video) is a sport type where participants control drones equipped with cameras while wearing head-mounted displays showing the live stream camera feed from the drones.
The goal is to complete a set course as quickly as possible.
